About Us
Who are we?
We are a family-owned surf school located in the beautiful Jervis Bay. We offer classes for all levels, from beginners to experienced surfers. Our experienced instructors will teach you the basics of surfing, from paddling and popping up to riding waves, while incorporating Ocean safety to every lesson. We also offer private lessons and group lessons.
We opened our doors in September 2023 and are excited to help you learn to surf!
At Coast2Coast Surf Academy, our mission is to create a secure and enjoyable learning environment catering to surfers at the beginner to intermediate levels.
Our classes primarily take place at the stunning Caves Beach within The Booderee National Park. Please keep in mind that, given the dynamic nature of surfing, our class locations are subject to weather conditions. In the event of unfavourable conditions at Caves Beach, we may conduct classes at alternative locations better suited to the prevailing conditions.
Meet our founders
Barbara
Hailing from the beautiful coastal regions of Chile, Barbara's love for surfing began at a young age, making her not just a surfer but a true ocean enthusiast. She holds a Science degree in Aquaculture, is a Holistic Health Coach and Breath Instructor. She has worked around the world as a Surf Instructor and Marine Tour Guide. Her knowledge and passion for marine life, combined with her surf coaching, create a dynamic and immersive learning experience for all those who join her classes. Join her for an unforgettable surf experience that not only connects you with the waves but also deepens your appreciation for the Ocean and its surroundings.
James
A passionate local from Jervis Bay, James learned to surf at Caves as a young grom. With over 20 years of surfing experience in the Shoalhaven area, he has a deep love for this region. As a father, he's passing on his love for the ocean to his daughters. James is a dedicated southeast coast surf enthusiast, making him an invaluable part of our surf school.
